Overview

The year 2012 was the 8th year of the glorious National Art Talent Search competition. As per every year event was started  on 21st May which is declared as  world cultural Diversity day by UNESCO. The event was inaugurated by mayor of Pune Hon. Smt. Vaishali Bankar and famous actor Hon. Dr. Girish Oak.

This 10 day laudable event was conducted in 3 different auditoriums. For all types of dances Tilak Smarak Mandir , Mono act and Drama in Bharatnatyam Mandir and for all vocal and instrumental , Drawing & painting  S. M. Joshi Sabha  Gruha was allotted.

More than 1200 performances were performed by 8000 artists who came from 18 different states of India.

The concluding day of this magnificent event was 1st June. The prize distribution ceremony was done by the hands of founder president of Manipuri Nartanalaya & Padmashree Awardee Hon. Smt. Darshana Zaveri and Hon. Shri. Alvadi. ABSS feels great as artists and their talent is rewarded on International Artist day every year.

For evening section valedictory function was done by famous Dhrupad exponent Hon. Ustad H. Sayeedussin Dagar and Vocal exponent  Hon. Shri. Shrikant Moghe.

The speciality of the event was famous art form of kerala “Kathakali” was presented. It was special because Kathakali artist requires total 6 to 7 Hours for their entire make up & Costume.
