GLOBAL HARMONY 2017 - BHAV RAAG TAAL- A KEY EVENT SHOWCASING CULTURAL DIVERSITY
 

Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrutik Sangh organized it's 13th Global Harmony 2017 - A multilingual Drama,  Dance, Music Fest/Contest from 21st May to 1st June 2017 in Pune -  A historical city of Maharashtra. The Event took place in 3 different auditoriums from 9 am to 11.30 pm for the all the 10 days.

The grand opening of this fest took place in the presence of Hon. Smt. Mukta Tilak - Mayor, Pune and Hon. Shri. Ravindra Khasnis-Co director, Akashwani, Pune at 'Tilak Smarak Mandir'.

Hon. Mukta Tilak (Mayor of Pune)expressed her thoughts  "Whenever any foreign delegates come to us for presentations of their Technology and business plans and for developing the thoughts of two countries, we Indians discuss more about the give & take of Indian Culture because India is a diverse country having various languages, and different performing arts like Dance, Drama, Music, Poetry etc. and it helps them to understand our Art & Culture."

Adding to this Hon. Shri Ravindra Khasnis said "One can express his feelings through dance, drama, music which are the boons of god showing the unity among the Indians."

 

8,000 Artists from 19 states took part in this fest with 2200 programs. In this fest artists from four age groups participated in Indian classical Dance - Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Oddissi, Satriya, Manipuri, Indian traditional folk Dance, Semiclassical, Modern and Western dance. Moreover this fest included Indian classical vocal, Instrumental and Multilingual Dramas also.

Total 64 Dramas were performed in the event.

This year  the Juniors, Seniors and Open category were considered as Youth Category.

 

Youth participation is much more than minors. They are essential mediator in finding new ways, techniques of by combining modern and cultural traditional art forms. They create awareness among common people about the traditional culture , different classical, folk art forms by demonstrating  performing different arts on street which is great mediator for social awareness and developing a separate audience of its own. Youth have tremendous leadership qualities through which our cultural art can be transmitted to young people in today's world by organizing workshops, seminars . Even youth can raise awareness in the society for the performing arts and play an vital role of interaction , creativity on local, national & international events. They drive social change & innovation claiming respect for their fundamental  rights.

This fest/contest was judged by ten renowned judges - Hon. Shri Subrata De, Hon. Shri Sameer Jana, Hon. Sushree Kanchanmala and Lalitha, Hon. Dr. Tanuja Nafade, Hon. Smt. Veena C.S., Hon. Smt. Ujwala Nagarkar, Hon. Smt. Vijaya Kale, Hon. Shri Giriraj Jemini and Hon. Shri Shyam Bhurke.

The  Valedictory function (Prize distribution) of this laudable event took place in 'Shri Ganesh Kala Krida Manch'  wherein 6,000 artists were present.

In the Classical Dance style 'Sunarthaki School of Bharatnatyam (Haryana), Asthika Samaj Group (Delhi), Bharatiya Kala Kendra, Mayur Cultural Art Center (Tamilnadu), Sri Dharshini Natyalaya (Tamilnadu), Sridevi Nrutyalaya, Pratibha Nrutya Mandir, Pavitra Art and Visual Institute, Shivanjali Dance Academy, Kala Vikas Kendra, Eklavya Nrutyalaya, Siddhi Nrutya KAla Mandir, Kalashri KAthak Dance Academy, Srushti Kathak Nrutya Niketan, Manjeeri Nrutya Kala Mandir, Nrutya Tapasya Group, Nirmala Music and Dance Group, Radhamadhava Rasranjani Group, Lasypriya Nrutya Niketan, Srikrishna Music and Dance' etc. stood in the ranks.

In Drama section, 'Natyabharati Group, Jagnnath Cultural Association (Orissa), Dreams Pune Group, Mee Phoenix Art & Cultural Group (Maharashtra), Sutradhar Cultural Association (Chattisgarh), Panthoibi Cultural Movement Center (Manipur) were the winners in this section.

 

The 'Champion Award Trophy' were given to those groups who had participated in large number in all the styles. The Assam valley School (Assam), Nirmala Music and Dance Academy (Andhra Pradesh), Srikrishna Music and Dance (Andhra Pradesh) and Tejaswini Group (Madhya Pradesh)

 

Since 12 years, Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrutik Sangh is successfully organizing the national event with maximum number of artist participation. In respect to this ABSS have decided to honor and felicitate those renowned exponents who have contributed their whole life in the field of Art. 

 

This year Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrutik  Sangh felicitated Hon. Sushree Dr. Sonal Mansingh (renowned Guru of Bharatnatyam and Odissi Dance) with 'Swami Vivekanand Rashtriya Kala Kirti Award' in the presence of Hon. Shri. Vinodji Tawade (Minister of Education and Cultural affairs) , Hon. Shri. Mangeshji Tendulkar (Renowned dramatic and Cartoonist), Hon. Smt. Madhuri Misal (Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly) and Hon. Snigdha Bisht (Programme Specialist-UNESCO).
 

On this occasion Sushree Dr. Sonal Mansingh expressed her gratitude by saying  " For any art, the Mind and the Soul should blend together. Merely using mind will bring the art to a certain extent but will not pierce deep in the soul of the art lovers. An art has such a strength that it can even seep any kind of stone. As a piece of sponge absorbs water in plenty of amount in the same way the disciple should absorb the knowledge given to him by his Guru."

 

Hon. Shri Vinodji Tawade said "Art is the symbol of National Unity. In the schools, beside the marks preference should also be given to the art forms."
